- Executive Masters in Coaching and Consulting for Change from the University of Oxford and HEC in Paris (2015)
- Fellow of the European Academy of Cancer Science
- President of the European Oncology Nursing Society from 1993-1997
Recipient of the EONS’ Distinguished Merit Award and is an honorary member of the organisation
- Served as member of the International Linkage Group that provided advice to Cancer Australia on the development of a National Framework for Consumer Involvement in Cancer Control
- Former member of Ireland’s National Cancer Forum that was responsible for the implementation of the National Cancer Strategy
