TEAM AND CONTACTS

SO came to life in 2015 backed by an experienced team that is known for building leading agencies, including Fast Track 100 high-growth award winners and #1 ranked specialist agencies. SO is poised to perform. The group was co-founded by Scott A. Clark and Oliver Parsons (Scott & Ollie…so that's where “SO” found its name!) who are both actively engaged at the agency and client levels. They are joined by rugby star and businessman Matt Dawson to launch SO Active and to support other business ventures, as well as a senior team of experts to launch SO Healthy. Find out more about the team below.

Scott A. Clark

SCOTT A. CLARK, GROUP CEO, CO-FOUNDER SO WHAT GLOBAL

For the past 25 years, Scott has been an active and well-known player in the world of brand reputation and specialist communications. A seasoned entrepreneur, Scott has started and sold two leading specialist agency groups and, along the way, has launched numerous offices in Europe, USA and Asia. Originally from the USA, Scott has lived and worked in Europe for the past two decades.  Scott has provided reputation advice to some of the biggest brands in consumer, health and FMCG and is equally comfortable dealing with CEOs and CMOs or small teams at start-ups.  As one of SO’s founders (the S in SO), Scott gets his ‘business mojo’ from the creative process of developing new ideas for clients and inspiring others around him to meet their peak performance. One of his proudest achievements is that a number of people to whom Scott gave their first jobs have ended up starting their own successful agencies.  A true family guy, Scott loves spending time with his wife and two children, particularly travelling and seeing the world. Scott is also a keen sports fan, and bridges the Atlantic with a love of rugby union and American football.

Scott is SO…energetic. Partially from a natural enthusiasm for all things business-related, but mostly due to the side effects of one too many Starbucks visits. Contact Scott

OLIVER PARSONS, GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR, CO-FOUNDER SO WHAT GLOBAL

Oliver (Ollie) has been working at the forefront of communications for the last 23 years. With a big agency and in-house upbringing and experience working in the UK and other markets, Ollie brings an entrepreneurial spark to his client campaigns, backed up by an excellence in delivery. Comfortable working with senior management of major corporations, key opinion formers and influencers, and those well known in the public eye, Ollie offers confident creativity to his work and a no nonsense approach to business.  As the big O in SO and an agency founder, Ollie loves to work with his teams to delight his clients and deliver the ‘SO What factor’ for their brands and organisations. When not spending time with his wife and son, Ollie enjoys watching live sport with family and friends, or traveling to other countries and cultures. He has been known to enjoy a nice chilled cider and has been drinking it since long before it became cool to do so.

Ollie is SO…determined, and a big believer in the ‘Who wants it more’ approach to life. Contact Ollie

Matt Dawson

MATT DAWSON, MBEFOUNDING PARTNER, SO ACTIVE

Previous to Matt’s corporate life, he was a professional rugby player. He enjoyed success with club and country culminating in 3 British and Irish Lions tours, as well as being a part of England's World Cup Winning team of 2003. Since retiring from the game in 2006, Matt has carved out a business and media career. A regular pundit and presenter on BBC Radio and BT Sport keeps his hand across all sports, whilst a position as a captain on the BBC One flagship entertainment show A Question of Sport creates a vast trusted bank of sporting friends, agents and associations Matt can access. Matt has always had one eye on the business world even when he played rugby and chose outsourcing as an area to develop. Communication, discipline, teamwork and success have enabled him to help raise the engagement levels at Food and Facilities giant Sodexo, and the wide contact base mixed with detailed performance continues to bring clients to The Instant Group, a commercial property company at which he holds a directorship.

Matt is SO…competitive.  Needless to say there's a determination to succeed wherever he goes. The fact he came second in Strictly Come Dancing hurts every day!!
